PM Vishwakarma Yojna empowering marginalized sections of society: Sunil Prajapati

The PM Vishwakarma Yojna launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Union government in August 2023, has proved to be instrumental in uplifting and empowering the marginalized sections of society, especially the traditional artisans and craftsmen in India.

This was stated by Sunil Prajapati, President, BJP OBC Morcha, and Incharge PM Vishwakarma Yojna, J&K UT, while he visited the house of Ravinder Singh along with Gourav Sikka (General Secretary OBC Morcha district Jammu) of ward no. 2, Jammu East Assembly Constituency.

Ravinder Singh had attained requisite skill training of Traditional skill of Dolls and Toys making of during last year and now received toolkit recently costing Rs 15000/- through post for manufacturing of traditional Dolls and Toys also got the loan 1.0 lakh sanctioned to start the manufacturing of dolls, toys like teddy bear as his professional business.

Sunil Prajapati, on this occasion highlighted the outlined benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojna, including recognition, training, toolkits, and enterprise development loans for artisans and craft peoples. He expressed his great pleasure that two districts of Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Budgam (Kashmir) have achieved the under top 10 positions amongst 787 districts of the Country in receiving the benefits of this Scheme including tool kits costing Rs 15000/- each and loan benefit of 1.0 lakh on lowest rate of interest sanctioned as compared to other States of the Country.  While in training Jammu and Kashmir is third to receive skill training under this Scheme.

Prajapati added that a total of 25000 kits has been disbursed amongst the trained artisans and craft people in the Jammu Kashmir UT and an amount of Approximately 100 crores has been sanctioned towards loan of 1.0 lakh on the lowest rate of interest in the Jammu Kashmir UT to start as well as to extend the business by the artisans and craft people under PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

Ravinder on this occasion expressed lot of gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching Vishwakarma Yojana, which has proved very helpful in establishing earning hub by artisans and skilled people.  Prime Minister’s vision of transforming may change the life of millions of Artisans and skilled people through this scheme involving 18 skilled trades, like of Carpentry, blacksmith, earthen ports making, leather related profession and toys and dolls etc.
