Police arrest drug peddler in Baramulla, seize 50g of contraband
To curb drug trafficking in the area, police arrested a suspected drug peddler near Hospital Crossing Tangmarg in Baramulla. The man was found with 50 grams of a substance believed to be charas.

A police party from Tangmarg Police Station headed by the Station House Officer (SHO) was conducting a routine check at a checkpoint established near Hospital Crossing. During the checking, they intercepted the person.
During the search, police recovered 50 grams of the charas-like substance. He was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. The recovered substance has been seized as evidence.
A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the law at Police Station Tangmarg, and an investigation is underway.
