Police seize properties worth crores of notorious drug peddler in Baramulla
Continuing their crackdown on drug trafficking, Baramulla Police have attached properties belonging to a well-known drug peddler, Shabir Ahmad Sofi.

Sofi, a resident of Mazhama, Magam in Budgam district, allegedly used the proceeds from his illegal activities to acquire a double-story residential house and 9 marlas of land, valued at approximately Rs. 50 lakhs.
This action comes under the ongoing “Drug-Free Baramulla” campaign, a police initiative aimed at dismantling the drug trade within the district.
According to police, this is just the latest in a series of successful operations. So far this year, authorities have attached properties valued at a total of Rs. 5.5 crores belonging to 16 different drug peddlers.
