Police seized huge quantity of illicit timber in Doda’s Dessa Forests

DODA, 2 June 2023: Police Party of Police Station Dessa seized a huge quantity of illicit timber in Indrian Bhata forest area of Dessa while the Police Party was on patrolling and area domination duty in the area.

The illicit timber was found to have been extracted by one Talib Hussain, a resident of Bhata Dessa after cutting down green standing trees illegally in the forest area. The accused person is absconding and his search is going on.

The police party has also seized some tools from the spot which were being used by the timber smugglers for extracting and sawing the wood.

Upon this, a case FIR number 04/2023 under relevant provisions of law has been registered in Police Station Dessa and the investigation of the case has been started.
