Polling teams dispatched to facilitate postal ballots for PWDs and elderly in Anantnag-Rajouri constituency

To ensure inclusive and accessible voting, the Election Commission has dispatched polling parties across Rajouri District for home voting through postal ballots.

This initiative is targeted at Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and citizens above 85 years of age, providing them with an opportunity to participate in the democratic process from the comfort of their homes.

Polling parties, equipped with necessary voting materials and secure postal ballots, have been deployed to various localities.

The Election Commission has revised the polling date for the 3-Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency. Originally slated for May 7, 2024 (Tuesday) as part of Phase 3 of the general elections, the new date is May 25, 2024 (Saturday).

As Rajouri District continues its preparations for the upcoming elections, the efforts to facilitate home voting through postal ballots stand out as a testament to the commitment to inclusivity and voter accessibility.
