“Prabhu Shri Ram a uniting force for all of us”: PM Modi shares aerial view of Ram Sethu
Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu) [India], April 6 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi who returnted to India after a State visit to Sri Lanka on Sunday highlighted how he was able to have the “darshan” of both Ram Setu and Ayodhya’s ‘Surya Tilak’.
“On the way back from Sri Lanka a short while ago, was blessed to have a Darshan of the Ram Setu. And, as a divine coincidence, it happened at the same time as the Surya Tilak was taking place in Ayodhya. Blessed to have the Darshan of both,” read a post by PM Modi on X.
“Prabhu Shri Ram is a uniting force for all of us. May His blessings always remain upon us,” the Prime Minister added.
PM Modi earlier today arrived in Tamil Nadu’s Rameswaram after concluding his three-day visit State visit to Sri Lanka.
Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake saw him off at the Colombo airport.
At Rameswaram, PM Modi inaugurated India’s first vertical lift sea bridge, the New Pamban Bridge.
The 2.07-kilometre-long New Pamban Bridge, spanning the Palk Strait in Tamil Nadu, stands as a testament to India’s engineering prowess and visionary infrastructure development, the Ministry of Railways said in a statement.
Meanwhile in Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya, on the occasion of Ram Navami, the temple witnessed the ‘Surya Tilak’ illuminating the forehead of Ram Lalla.
The ‘Surya Tilak’ occurred exactly at noon when a beam of sunlight precisely directed on the forehead idol of Ram Lalla and formed a celestial tilak.
Visuals showed priests offering prayers to Ram Lalla during the Surya Tilak.
Ram Sethu, also known as Adam’s bridge is a 48 kilometre chain of lime-stone bridge, connecting Rameswaram island in India to Mannar island in Sri Lanka. The lime stone shoal connections hold mythological significance, believed to be the bridge with Ram made to reach Lanka in the Ramayan to rescue his wife, Sita.
