Prerna Puri chairs Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event at Hiranagar

Terms beneficiaries as ambassadors of carrying forward PM’s vision of making India a developed nation

KATHUA, January 19: Commissioner Secretary, Information Technology, Prerna Puri, today chaired a mega public outreach event at Hiranagar during urban leg of the ambitious ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ initiative.

The event witnessed a significant turnout of community members, becoming a platform for sharing success stories of beneficiaries under various Central Sector Schemes during the insightful “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” session.

Commissioner Secretary actively engaged with the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra proceedings, conducting thorough inspection of departmental stalls exhibiting citizen-centric beneficiary schemes. She also administered VBSY pledge to the enthusiastic participants.

Speaking on the ongoing Yatra in the district, Prerna Puri appreciated its successful implementation in various urban areas of Kathua ensuring saturation of all government beneficiary oriented schemes. She acknowledged beneficiaries as ambassadors, entrusted with carrying forward the Prime Minister’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047.

In her address, Commissioner Secretary emphasized the need for collective efforts from people, youth, officers, and PRIs to materialize the transformative vision of a developed nation. She highlighted infrastructural revamping, human resource development and social unity as crucial elements for national development.

The event included screening of Prime Minister’s message on Viksit Bharat, along with distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material.

Prerna Puri also facilitated financial assistance to PMAY, PM Swanidhi Yojana beneficiaries, Healthy Child scheme of ICDS besides distributing computers among the cooperative societies.
