Prerna Puri inaugurates JaKeGAs’ workshop on e-Office
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 9: J&K e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA) in collaboration with National Informatics Centre, J&K, today organized one day workshop to sensitize and train the officers and officials regarding e-Office implementation up to tehsil level.
Addressing the inaugural session, Commissioner Secretary, Information Technology Department, Prerna Puri, lauded the efforts of technical agencies for educating the participants about the significance of e-Office in present era of technological advancements. She highlighted that e-Office is crucial for increasingly digital nature of governance at all levels.
Commissioner Secretary emphasized the need for imparting requisite master training to the District Level Nodal Officers for ensuring e-Office expansion up to the tehsil level.
Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA, Abhishek Sharma, in his address, briefed the importance of e-Office in ensuring a more responsive, accountable and transparent dispensation to people. He also highlighted a descriptive detail about achievements recorded, so far, under e-Office initiative. He exhorted upon the district-level nodal officers to share information about all officials up to tehsil level to onboard all employees on e-Office.
During the workshop, a presentation was given by JaKeGA project team while technical demonstration session was also conducted which was attended by about 150 officers and officials of various district and tehsil administrations.
Among others, the workshop was attended by State Informatics Officer National Informatics Centre, Saleem Khan and his team besides the project implementation team of JaKeGA.
