Advocates collaborative development vision for transformed India by 2047

KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 28: Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Santosh D Vaidya, who is on  two day visit to Kishtwar today participated in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Dool A panchayat of Nagseni block.

District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, ADC, Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACP, Zakir Hussain Wani and other departmental heads besides officials were present on the occasion.

Dr Devansh Yadav presented an overview of the ongoing viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in the district besides highlighting the role of district administration in making this mega reaching out programme a grand success.

During the Yatra, the beneficiaries shared success stories concerning various prevailing Central Sector Schemes during the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” session, attended by Principal Secretary Vaidya and other district officials.

Amidst these engagements, Principal Secretary participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra proceedings, inspected departmental stalls showcasing citizen centric beneficiary schemes. He administered the VBSY pledge to the participants.

During the address, Principal Secretary emphasised the collective efforts of people, youth, officers and PRIs to materialize the vision of transformed developed India by 2047, emphasizing the crucial role of youth in this pursuit. He stressed the critical need to focus on  infrastructure revamping, human resource development and social unity as the cornerstone of national development.

Discussing the transformative impact post Article 370 reform and successful navigation through the COVID era,  Vaidya pointed out the substantial advancements in road infrastructure, water supply, health, water, hydro electric power, women’s empowerment, and  mobile networks over the past five years in Jammu and Kashmir.

Notably, the Union Territory’s GDP surged significantly from Rs 1.7 lakh crore to Rs 2.5 lakh crore, he informed on the occasion.

Moreover, Principal Secretary termed the cultural and national integration imperative for nation’s development. He urged upon the citizens to work collectively towards women empowerment which significantly contributes in raising a developed India.

The event also featured a screening of PM’s message on Viksit Bharat, musical and cultural performances by local artists and Nagseni Cultural group besides distribution of IEC material.

Principal Secretary also handed over Abhinandan Certificates to some of the participants, sanction letters under HADP to eligible farmers and prosthetic aids including wheel chair and sticks provided by the Social Welfare Department for old age and PwDs.

Furthermore, a free medical camp organized by the Health Department Kishtwar provided medical screenings, consultations, and free medicines to numerous citizens, enhancing the community’s access to healthcare services.
