Professor Zoltán Dudás from Hungary Delivered a Talk at SMVDU
School of Physics, SMVD University today organized an expert talk in hybrid mode by Prof. Zoltán-Imre Dudás, a senior researcher and the Head of the Department at Budapest Neutron Center (BNC), HUN-REN Centre for Energy Research, Hungary. The title of his talk was “Research at the Budapest Neutron Center: Utility of Neutrons in Material Science”. Dr. Kamni Pathania, Head, School of Physics, SMVDU and coordinator of the event, welcomed Prof. Dudás and introduced him to the faculty members, and students of M.Sc. Physics, Integrated B.Sc. (Physics) – M.Sc. Physics and research scholars. Then Prof. Dudás presented the brief overview of the Neutron Spectroscopy Laboratory at BNC and practical applications of neutron spectroscopy and diffraction instruments. He revealed the specialized investigations of his research group using this technique at BNC. The talk was well applauded by all the participants. He also provided the guidelines on how to prepare and submit a successful research proposal to their centre.
