Project on ‘CO2 Capture’ by “Design Your Degree” Students of GCW Parade Wins Best Poster Award at Int’l Conference

JAMMU, JULY 01: A team of “Design Your Degree” program from Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground Jammu, participated in the International Conference on “Monitoring Biodiversity for Action” (ICMBA-2024), has achieved acclaim for their outstanding project on CO2 capture. The seven-member team comprising of Tarunpreet Kour, Sehrish Altaf, Sukriti Khajuria, Tanvi Sharma, Tania, Sneha Manhas, and Dr Gurpreet Kour showcased their innovative approach to CO2 capture, presenting comprehensive research plans that impressed conference attendees and experts alike. The project, jointly mentored by Prof. Kaurab Singh, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology and Dr. Gurpreet Kour, Assistant Professor of Chemistry secured the prestigious Best Poster Award at the Conference on Monitoring Biodiversity for Action, hosted at Kashmir University from June 25th to 27th, 2024.


Their project not only underscores their dedication to addressing pressing environmental challenges but also highlights the rigorous academic standards upheld at GCW Parade Ground Jammu.
