Promoting Road Safety: ARTO Leads Awareness Campaign in Bhaderwah
DODA, January 25: As part of the 35th National Road Safety Month, the Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Doda orchestrated a comprehensive Road Safety Awareness Program and pledge ceremony at the New Bus Stand Bhadarwah, today. The event, presided over by SP Bhadarwah Vinod Sharma and ARTO, Rajesh Gupta, aimed to instill awareness about safe driving practices and adherence to traffic rules.
More than one hundred drivers and 150 new license seekers actively participated in the program, where they were educated on various road safety norms. ARTO Rajesh Gupta underscored the significance of understanding and following traffic rules, urging all members of society to recognize their roles in ensuring better traffic management and road safety.
SP Vinod Sharma, administering a pledge to all participants, emphasized that changing driving behavior is a gradual process, and education serves as the cornerstone for achieving this transformation. As part of the initiative, pamphlets were distributed among the youth by ARTO, SP Bhadarwah, and SHO Amrit Katoch, aiming to educate and motivate them to religiously adhere to traffic rules and contribute to saving lives through preventive measures.
This event is part of ARTO Doda’s ongoing commitment to fostering a safer road environment, especially in the hilly Doda district. As the National Road Safety Month unfolds, such awareness programs play a crucial role in creating a culture of responsible driving within the community, contributing to the broader national effort to reduce road accidents and enhance road safety.
