Promoting tourism: Doda Admin all set to host Winter Festival in Bhaderwah
DODA, DECEMBER 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh today revealed that a 5-Day Winter Festival will be held in famous Bhaderwah Valley from December 27, 2023.
The Administration has made all the arrangements and is expecting a huge footfall this year. It is pertinent to mention here that last year, Winter Carnival, Asikini Bhaderkashi Utsav, Yoga Utsav was held at Jae and other tourism related activities. The event was appreciated by the thousands of tourists from within J&K and outside.
The District Administration is looking forward to welcome guests from across the globe this year to enjoy winters amid snow-capped mountains. The revelation was made at a meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh with the telecommunication operators of the district.
The DDC asked JIO, Bharti Airtel, and BSNL to ensure the mobile network at Jae, Guldanda, and other tourist destinations in the Bhaderwah Sub District.
The DDC has already directed stakeholder departments and private players like hoteliers, transporters, tourist guides, restaurant owners etc to ensure all the arrangements are in place before 25th of this month for the success of the festival.
The DDC expressed his satisfaction in safety and convenience arrangements and emphasized the administration’s commitment to delivering a memorable and hassle-free experience. He has placed his directives to showcase the rich cultural, heritage, and traditions of the district during the festival.
The anticipated winter festival aims to draw a significant number of tourists, providing a platform to promote local talent, craftsmanship, and cuisine. The event is poised to feature diverse cultural performances, adventure sports, local handicraft exhibitions, and enticing food stalls. DDC Doda expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming winter carnival.
