Protests in UP’s Ballia over ‘missing’ youth’s skeleton

Ballia (UP), Aug 4 (PTI) Workers from the Bhim Army and BSP staged a protest at the Sikandarpur Police Station here after a skeleton was found in the area.

Protestors alleged that the skeleton was of a youth who had gone missing a month ago.

Additional SP Anil Kumar Jha said that a skeleton, an Aadhaar card, slippers, and clothes were found in Khariddd Darauli village.

Protesters claimed that the skeleton was of a Bhati village native, 30-year-old Naveen Kumar, who had been missing since June 30, the ASP said.

Police had registered an FIR in Kumar’s case and was probing the matter.

Protesters returned after an assurance of arrest of the guilty, the officer said.
