PSPS GCW Gandhinagar Commemorates International Women’s Day- 2024
The NCC Cadets of 2 J&K Girls Bn.of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt College for Women Gandhinagar Jammu celebrated the International Women’s Day- 2024 by organizing a series of enlightening activities under the banner “Empower Her”. The day long event commenced with an Awareness Lecture on Cyber Security ” Cyber Safety for Women ” by Prof. Rohit Gupta, HOD Computer Applications and Convenor Cyber Jagrookta Cell . He provided valuable insights into the importance of online safety and best practices to safeguard against Cyber crime. The lecture aimed at promoting awareness and fostering dialogue on pertinent issues affecting women in virtual world.
Following the cyber hygiene session, a thought-provoking lecture on “Mental Health and Women” by Prof. Vinay Lata from Dept. of Psychology. She addressed the unique challenges faced by women and offered guidance on maintaining emotional well-being. The session underscored the significance of prioritizing mental health and seeking support when needed.
In the spirit of creative expression, the cadets also participated in “Poster Making Competition” to visually depict themes related to women’s empowerment and equality. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, with artists showcasing their talent and advocacy through compelling artwork.
These informative and engaging events served to conclude the celebrations of International Women’s Day, leaving a lasting impact on the participants and reinforcing the commitment of the NCC cadets of 2 J & K Girls Bn. to champion the rights and well-being of women.
