PSPS GCW Gandhinagar organises a training programme on Social: Media Executives

JAMMU, March15: Department of Commerce and Skill Development Cell, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in collaboration with Central University of Jammu inaugurated the comprehensive 60 hour short term training certificate for the students on “Social Media Executives” under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The inaugural ceremony held today, witnessed the esteemed presence of distinguished speakers, educators and professionals in the field.

Prof. S.P. Saraswat, Principal, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev, GCW, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, was the chief guest on the occasion. He applauded the efforts of the Department of Commerce and the Skill Development Cell for organizing useful programmes for the benefit of students. He emphasized the importance of adapting to evolving industry trends and leveraging social media as a powerful tool for communication and outreach. Dr. Asha Devi, HOD, Commerce and Convener of the event extended warm greetings to all attendees, emphasizing the significance of the course in today’s digital age. Prof (Dr.) Jaya Bhasin, HOD, Department of HRM & OB and Mr. Naman Chibber, Trainer, Digital Marketing, were the key note speakers, imparting valuable insights and expertise to the eager participants. Their profound knowledge and experience illuminated the path for aspiring social media executives, setting the tone for the enriching journey ahead. The event also welcomed Prof. Surinder Parihar, HOD (Department of History), Dr. Neelika Arora (Associate Professor, Department of Marketing & Supply Chain), Dr. Shahid Mustaq (Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing & Supply Chain), Mr. Asif Ali  (Assistant Professor,  Department of HRM & OB) and Prof. Monika Hans, (member, Skill Development Cell), whose presence further enriched the inaugural ceremony.

As the event unfolded, Dr. Himani Arora delivered a gracious vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the contributors and supporters of this initiative. The proceedings of the event were conduct of by Ms. Mehak Pawar and Ms. Sara Choudhary (B.Com Sem-4th). The entire program was coordinated by Dr. Vaishali and Prof. Sandhya Bhagat and the whole programme was attended by the students of Commerce.
