PSPS GCW Gandhinagar organises orientation programme on “Phobia in Mathematics”

JAMMU, April 18: Department of Mathematics, Padma shri Padma Sachdev Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar the other day organized an Orientation Program to help students of the sem -2 fresher of Multidisciplinary Course to overcome the Phobia of Mathematics.   

Prof Minu Mahajan, Principal of the College, was the Chief Guest of the event. Through her inspiring thoughts, she encouraged the students to cultivate interest and passion towards the subject.

Dr. Renu Anand, HoD, Department of Mathematics and convener of the event formally welcomed the guests and described the significance of Mathematics in day to day life.

 Professor    Shobha Gupta, HoD , Department of Mathematics , GDC, Samba was the resource person of the event . She explained to students many basic concepts of Mathematics through real life examples. A large number of students attended and interacted with the resource person .

   Radhika, a student of MD  Mathematics in Sem 1 also shared her experience. Dr.Rupinder Kour and Dr. Jyoti Dutt also graced the event.  Nisha. a student of Sem-2 compared the event.

The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Anshu Sharma. The organising committee included Dr. Anshu Sharma and Dr. Nidhi Suri from the Department of Mathematics.
