PSPS GCW Gandhinagar organises workshop on preparation for Competitive Examination
JAMMU, March 15: Department of Sociology, PSPS GCW, Gandhinagar in collaboration with IQAC under the able guidance of Principal of the College, Prof. Minu Mahajan organised a one day workshop on the theme “How to prepare for Competitive Examinations”.
While speaking on the occasion, the HoD Sociology, Dr. Suraj Mohani Jamwal stressed on the importance of preparation for the competitive exams for students these days. She informed that the Department of Sociology is organising series of such events for students in future also. This workshop was also the part of ongoing series.
Principal applauded the efforts of the department in organising such events of utmost importance. She stressed upon the need to manage life which would be only possible through time management.
Vivek Chib, Director, Essence Institute was the resource person of the event. He made a detailed elaboration on the strategies for the preparation of the various exams, the mistakes which students often ignore and how to succeed with a positive outlook. Prof. B.D. Sehgal (H.O.D, Physics) also advised the students to avoid procrastination in day to day life and to always adopt a positive attitude in spite of any situation.
The resource person also satisfied the various queries of the students. The event was witnessed by around 250 students. Other dignitaries present were Dr. Renu Anand, Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Prof. Neetu Raina,, Dr. Pooja Charak, Prof. Paramjeet, Prof. Abhinav, Prof. Shivani Sawhney, Prof. Vijender Sharma, Dr. Bhagwati, Prof. Poonam Verma, Prof. Fayaz and Prof. Ishfaq Ahmad Dar. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Shelly Sabharwal (Sociology). The proceedings of the event were conducted by Ashpreet Kaur (B.A 3rd semester).
