Pulwama incident strengthened our resolve for zero tolerance towards terrorism: Arun Gupta

JAMMU, February 14: Arun Gupta, Spokesperson, J&K BJP, stated that the tragic Pulwama incident in 2019, strengthened our resolve for zero tolerance towards terror related activities. He said that February 14, 2019, was black day in Indian history when 40 brave CRPF personnel were martyred at Pulwama on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Arun Gupta, Spokesperson, J&K BJP, accompanied by Balbir Ram Rattan, Spokesperson, and Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge was addressing a Press Conference at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

“India has strongly carried out the zero-tolerance policy by undertaking surgical strikes, air strike along with other counter measures to send a stern message to the neighbouring country that India is capable of giving befitting reply to any attempt posing threat to the security forces and the civilians.”, said Arun Gupta.

He said that after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, much progress has been achieved in the security and peace measures in J&K. He said that Pakistan has been consistently trying desperately to destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir through terrorism.

Arun Gupta said that India has achieved peace through stringent measures and will do whatever is required to be done to keep it stable, as and when such need arises.

He laid stress on the streamlined strengthening of the multi-faceted security grid by India covering coastal security, narcotics, cybercrime, or economic security.

“India has to achieve Viksit Bharat by 2047, and a multi-faceted security strengthening will play a very significant role in stabilizing the economy and ensuring constant growth in the country. To achieve this, the security forces are performing their role very effectively, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the effective measures taken by the Union Home Minister and Defence Minister of India.,” said Arun Gupta.

Arun Gupta also stressed that India is prepared for any eventuality and sacrifice of our brave martyrs will not go in vain, adding that the nation is indebted to them.
