Punjab: BSF recovers China-made Pakistani drone in Amritsar
Amritsar (Punjab) [India], May 26 (ANI): Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday recovered a Pakistani drone near the border area in Amritsar.
The BSF intelligence wing received information regarding the presence of a drone. Based on this, the BSF Punjab troops carried out a search operation in the suspected area.
The troops recovered one drone from a farming field ahead of the border security fence near Dhanoe Khurd village at around 11:10 am on Sunday.
According to the BSF, the recovered drone is identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.
Earlier in the day, in a major breakthrough against trans-border narcotic smuggling networks, Punjab Police and Border Security Force busted an international drug smuggling module and arrested seven drug smugglers in Punjab’s Fazilka.
In the joint operation, the police seized 5.47 Kg pure grade heroin and Rs 1.7 lakh in cash from the arrested persons.
Earlier on May 24, BSF recovered a packet of suspected heroin in Punjab’s Amritsar. The drug packet weighing 400 grams was recovered from a farming field in Roranwala Kalan village of Amritsar district.
