Punjab: Rusted bomb shell found in Ludhiana’s Khanna

Ludhiana, Jan 18 (PTI) A rusted bomb shell was found on Wednesday at the military grounds in Khanna, about 45 kms from here, police said.

The shell was lying in the garbage and was spotted by a passerby, they said.

Inspector General of Police (Ludhiana Police Range) Kaustubh Sharma said “It is a rusted shell and could be a part of scrap”.

The area has been cordoned off and the bomb disposal squad has reached the site.
Army officials have also been informed, he said, adding that further investigations were underway.
