Punjab’s notorious wanted criminal nabbed in Nagrota, Jammu
In a major success, Jammu and Kashmir Police apprehended Amrit Pal Singh alias Kalla, a wanted criminal from Punjab, in the Nagrota area of Jammu district.
Singh, a resident of Malliwar, Gurdaspur, Punjab, was evading arrest for four years. He is accused in a case registered at Police Station Maidpur, Jalandhar, Punjab, under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 34 (common intention), 25, 27, and 29 of the Arms Act. Additionally, he faced charges under Section 18C of the NDPS Act (dealing in prohibited drugs) in a separate case registered at Police Station Udyog Vihar, Haryana.

A team from Police Station Nagrota successfully apprehended Singh. He was then handed over to the concerned police authorities in Punjab to face legal proceedings.
