Quiz competition on Freedom Struggle held at GDC Banihal

RAMBAN, AUGUST 05: The Debates and Seminar Committee of Government Degree College (GDC) Banihal organized a “Quiz Competition on Freedom Struggle” under the patronage of the Principal, Dr. Shafiq Ahmad Katoch.


The event focused on enhancing students’ knowledge about the Indian Freedom Struggle, emphasizing key historical figures, pivotal events, and significant movements that shaped the nation’s history.


The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, showcasing their awareness and understanding of India’s journey towards independence.


The competition featured a series of thought-provoking questions designed to challenge participants and encourage deeper engagement with the subject matter.


Earlier, Convener of the Debates and Seminar Committee, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad Shah, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of such events in fostering historical awareness and civic responsibility among students. He stressed the relevance of studying the freedom struggle to appreciate the sacrifices made by our ancestors and to inspire current and future generations.


At the end of the event, Assistant Professor of economics, Prof Abid Aziz, while presenting the vote of thanks expressed gratitude to the Principal, participants and the organizing committee for their contributions to the successful conduct of the quiz competition. The quiz competition concluded with a sense of accomplishment and a renewed commitment to exploring and understanding the rich tapestry of India’s freedom struggle.
