Rajasthan ACB arrests 3 lawyers in bribery case
Jaipur, Feb 21 (PTI) A team of Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested three lawyers for allegedly seeking bribes and claiming to act on behalf of a police officer in Patan, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.
According to the complainant, the lawyers had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh on behalf of a police officer in lieu of removal of some sections and favouring him in a case registered against him at a local police station.
The deal was fixed at Rs 70,000.
Sagarmal, Ujjwal Khokhar, and Bajranglal were arrested on Monday night while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, the ACB spokesperson said.
The complainant had already given Rs 20,000 to the accused.
