Rajasthan CM flags off ‘Tiranga Yatra’ ahead of Independence Day

Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) [India], August 14 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma flagged off a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Jaisalmer on Wednesday, ahead of Independence Day.

Later, CM Sharma actively participated in the ‘Tiranga Yatra,’ carrying the national flag and waving at people along the route in Jaisalmer.

The ‘Tiranga Yatra’ is part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,’ an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to instill a sense of nationalism by encouraging citizens to display the national flag at their homes.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He emphasised that the campaign is not just a display of patriotism but also a resolution to build a developed India by 2047.

“The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign started by PM Modi is not just an expression of patriotism but a resolution to create a developed India by 2047. As we enter the 78th year of Independence on August 15, ensure that no house, building, office, or vehicle is without the tricolour,” Shah stated on Tuesday.

In the 112th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 28, Prime Minister Modi urged all Indians to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

The third edition of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” (HGT) campaign is being celebrated from August 9 to 15 as part of the Independence Day festivities.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative. Launched in 2021 to mark the 75th year of India’s independence, it encourages people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it. The initiative aims to evoke a sense of patriotism and raise awareness about the Indian national flag.
