Rajouri administration organises program on CVC & CTE Guidelines
RAJOURI, October 31: In continuation to a number of activities being organised in the district as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week, the district administration Rajouri, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, organized a significant program here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow.
The centerpiece of the event was a detailed discussion on the guidelines prescribed by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and CTE.
The Central Vigilance Commission plays a vital role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity in government operations. Its guidelines are a cornerstone for promoting ethical conduct and preventing corruption in the public sector.
During the threadbare discussion, participants delved into the core principles of the CVC guidelines. These guidelines are designed to foster a culture of vigilance and emphasize the importance of adherence to ethical standards in public service. They encompass a wide range of aspects, including procurement procedures, financial management, project execution, and overall administrative practices.
The discussion highlighted the significance of proactively identifying and addressing corruption risks. The CVC guidelines emphasize the need for preventive vigilance, where organizations should actively work towards minimizing the potential for corrupt practices. This involves comprehensive risk assessments, regular inspections, and the promotion of ethical behavior among employees.
Furthermore, the guidelines stress the importance of transparency and accountability in decision-making processes. They advocate for the use of digital technologies and e-governance to reduce discretionary powers and minimize opportunities for corruption. Additionally, the guidelines underscore the role of whistleblowers and the protection provided to them to report instances of corruption.
The discussion also covered the mechanisms for reporting and investigating corruption cases. The CVC guidelines provide clear procedures for handling complaints, conducting inquiries, and taking appropriate actions against wrongdoers. During this program organized in Rajouri district as part of Vigilance Awareness Week, a detailed discussion was also held on (CTE) guidelines.
The district administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, demonstrated a commitment to upholding these principles, ensuring that the public sector remains accountable and free from corrupt practices.
Among the others present during the event were , Rajiv Kumar Khajuria, (ADC Rajouri) Shoket Mehmood Malik (PO ICDS), Imran Rashid Kataria (ACR), Vijay Kumar (ACD), Auqil Nuvaid (DPO), Sandeep Sharma (DSEO), Abdul Rahim (DSWO), and Executive Engineers from various departments such as PWD, PDD, PMGSY, and Jal Shakti, among others.
