Rajouri: DLIC approves 45 cases under Mumkin & Tejaswini Schemes

RAJOURI, JUNE 12: District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Rajouri today approved 45 new cases under Mumkin and Tejaswini Schemes of Government’s flagship program Mission Youth.


The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat.


Mumkin scheme is an initiative of Mission Youth for providing sustainable livelihood to unemployed youth in the transport sector, the Beneficiaries are provided Commercial vehicles on subsidised rates. The Tejaswini Scheme envisages financial support to the women in the 18 to 35 year age group to enable them to set up a self-employment unit.


After threadbare discussion, the DLIC approved 34 fresh cases under the Mumkin and 11 under Tejaswini scheme in presence of the applicants. The DDC also interacted with the beneficiaries and encouraged them to take full benefit of the support being provided to them for enhancing their livelihood.


The DDC asked the concerned officers to organise awareness camps to encourage the maximum number of educated and unemployed youth of the district to take benefit of the twin schemes.


He exhorted the officers to put in sincere efforts to remove hindrances faced by the youth in availing benefits under various initiatives of Mission Youth.
