Rajouri promotes Voter Awareness through Cultural, Educational Initiatives under SVEEP

RAJOURI, September 07: Rajouri District witnessed a series of voter awareness programs across multiple constituencies as part of the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative.


In Assembly Constituency 86-Budhal, a Mushaira titled “Jashn-e-Jamhooriyat Rajouri” was organized at ZEO Office, Koteranka.


The event, led by Returning Officer Dil Mir (ADC Koteranka) and Nodal Officer SVEEP Prof. Tahir Nadeem, featured speeches by students from GHSS Budhal and poetic recitations by renowned local poets, highlighting the importance of voting in a democracy. The Mushaira concluded with a collective pledge to participate in the upcoming elections.


Similarly, GHSS Samote staff and students took a pledge to uphold democratic traditions and vote without fear or influence, while Booth Level Awareness Groups launched a door-to-door campaign to encourage uninfluenced voter participation in Draj.


A vibrant “Jashn-e-Jamhooriyat” celebration was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Assembly Constituency 84-Nowshera. The event, supervised by Nodal Officer SVEEP J.P. Singh, included poetic recitations and speeches by notable district figures, including PwD icon Vinod Sharma. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reinforcing the significance of electoral participation.


GHSS Soulki, in Assembly Constituency 83-Kalakote, hosted another Mushaira to emphasize the importance of voting. Prominent poets, staff, and students participated, strengthening the democratic values in the constituency.


Similar voter awareness programs were organized in Assembly Constituencies 85-Rajouri and 87-Thannamandi, featuring rallies, pledges, and community engagement to mobilize voters for the upcoming J&K Legislative Assembly elections.
