Rajouri: Surprise inspections conducted in Govt institutes to check attendance, Biometric Attendance
RAJOURI, MAY 23: To check absenteeism and enforce the biometric attendance , Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, and the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Imran Kataria, today conducted surprise inspections of Eight government institutions.
The inspections revealed instances of absenteeism and leave misuse, shedding light on the need for stricter attendance monitoring mechanisms.
During the surprise inspections, which were conducted under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, the officials found six employees absent from their assigned duties, while five employees were on leave.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri expressed concern over the instances of absenteeism and leave misuse, emphasising the need for enforcing punctuality and. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to promote transparency and accountability in the public sector.
“It is essential to cultivate a work culture that upholds professionalism, responsibility, and a strong work ethic, ultimately benefiting the public and improving service delivery,” said the Deputy Commissioner.
