Ramban Admin intensifies celebration activities

Social Welfare, Education Department organise awareness camp, plantation drive

RAMBAN, OCTOBER 27: District Administration Ramban, under the aegis of the Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, intensified activities being organized by the different departments to celebrate foundation day of UT of Jammu and Kashmir and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas from 25^th October to 31st of October 2023 in the District.

 Today, the Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with Special Cell for Women, organised an awareness camp at Ramban Public High School under the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer, Rahul Gupta.

The event was one among the series of activities being conducted under the theme UT Foundation Diwas. The children were made aware about their rights, the role and responsibilities of the One Stop Centre as well as the District Hub for Empowerment of Women. The children were also sensitized about the perils of drug abuse besides administering them a pledge against the drug abuse.

The Education Department also conducted plantation and sanitation drives in the schools besides organizing other informative and attractive events across the district.

The District Information Centre is carrying out an IEC campaign on social media to highlight achievements recorded under various sectors.

Similarly other departments also organized a variety of activities emphasizing the importance of this day in fostering national unity and integrity.
