Ramban: AYUSH department organises farmers’ awareness program on Agri-Ayurveda

RAMBAN, November 06: Department of Indian System of Medicine (ISM)- AYUSH Ramban today organized an awareness camp on the theme, Agri-Ayurveda for farmers to  promote cultivation of medicinal plants in the district.

Delivering a lecture on the importance of medicinal plants and their use, Senior AYUSH Medical Officer Dr. Masood Iqbal Zargar encouraged the farmers to develop Herbal Gardens to add to their income generation. He also highlighted the importance of AYUSH medicines, saying that these are helpful in strengthening the immune system, besides improving the overall strength and vitality in humans. He also dwelt in detail on different schemes launched by the Government for promotion of cultivation and marketing of medicinal plants.

The farmers appreciated the ISM Department Ramban for organizing awareness camps across the district and urged the officials to organize more such camps for the benefit of the farmers.
