Ramban: Director Jal Jeevan Mission -II reviews VBSY arrangements in Panchayats
RAMBAN, December 08: Director Jal Jeevan Mission, -II, Ranjit Kumar and Prabhari Officer for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) for Ramban district today conducted an extensive tour of the Panchayats and reviewed the arrangements made by the stakeholders to organize programmes ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Panchayat level across District Ramban.
Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary led the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held in 82 panchayats of Ramban district including four Panchayats covered today including Pingloga, Senabathi-A, Senabathi-B, and Paristan.
Participating in ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ events at Panchayat Pingloga, the Director interacted with the PRIs and locals, besides taking feedback from beneficiaries about implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in Ramban district.
Keeping in view the commitment and innovative approach of the people of District Ramban, the Director said “I am quite sure that we will achieve the goal to make India a developed Nation by 2047”. The Prabhari Officer expressed confidence in the positive impact of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and reiterated the government’s commitment towards the holistic development of Ramban.
Emphasizing the dissemination of information through success stories, pamphlets, small videos and IEC material regarding various government-sponsored schemes, the Director urged upon the stakeholders to organize camps and reach-out to the unreached and vulnerable sections of the society. He discussed the achievements and further course of action to reach saturation in the implementation of welfare schemes in the district.
The schemes which were discussed included the Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM PRANAM Yojana, PMEGP, Ujwala Yojna, Urea Subsidy Scheme, Atal Pension Scheme, Jan Dhan Yojna, Integrated Sheep Husbandry Scheme, Mission Poshan, PM Vishwakarma, PMVVY and others.
The Prabhari officer also inspected stalls set up by the various departments to sensitize the people about their schemes, besides taking ‘Hamaara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge and watching video messages of Hon’ble Prime Minister and other promotional videos screened on IEC vans.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner briefed the Visiting Officer that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was started on November 28, 2023 in the district as many as 82 panchayats of Banihal, Khari, Ramsoo, Ramban, Rajgarh, Ukhral and Batote blocks of Ramban district have been covered so far.
Briefing the Director about the overwhelming response of the public, the Deputy Commissioner also highlighted the roadmap and plan for the conduct of the Yatra in rest of the Panchayats of Block Batote, Gandhri, Sangaldan, Gool and Gundi-Dharam.
He informed that district-level control room has been established for exchange and free flow of information, besides block-level Nodal officers and Day Nodal Officers have been appointed for the smooth conduct of the VBSY.
Evaluating the impact of initiatives on various aspects such as infrastructural development, community engagement, and overall socio-economic up-liftment across the district, the DC also briefed the Prabhari Officer about the potential of the district in agriculture and other sectors.
BDC, Chairperson, Karleep Singh, PRIS and a large number of locals participated in the VBSY.
Among others, ADDC, Rajinder Sharma, SDM, Ramsoo Ghanshyan Basotra, and other district officers accompanied the Director during the tour.
