Reasi: Poshan Pakhwada Week celebrated in Talwara

REASI, March 27: A program celebrating “Poshan Pakhwada Week” was organised by Poshan Project Pouni in panchayat Talwara under Mission Shakti on the directions of District Social Welfare Officer Reasi today. The program was attended by Panchayati Raj representatives, Child Development Project Officer, Sushma Kohli, Anganwadi Workers, Anganwadi Helpers, lactating mothers and local women.

The public was informed about women-centric schemes all over the country such as the old age and widow pension schemes, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, loan facilities from different departments and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana scheme.

Pamphlets and gifts were distributed among beneficiaries of baby girls and their names were enrolled for Sukanya Samridhi Yojana. Women’s grievances were also noted for early redressal.
