People of J&K confronting with failure of administration to solve day today problems: Bhalla
Jammu, June 13, 2023:- Resident Welfare Committee Sector-A Sainik Colony Jammu deputation led by Shamsher Singh Maj. Gen. (Retd), Keshav Singh Jamwal, Padam Dev Singh , Satish Kumar Sharma,Mahesh Chander Sharma,S. Surinder Singh (Laddi) , Pardeep Gandotra, Yash Pal Choudhary , S. Neel Kanwal, S. Ajit Singh,Suresh Gupta,Hony Capt Yash Paul Singh Bhau,Madan Khullar, Chatter Singh, Sikander Singh today called on JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla and projects before him demands of inhabitants of Sector-A, Sainik Colony Jammu. The deputation demanded widening and Black topping of two main roads of Sector A from Hari Singh Chowk to Shiv Mandir near Railway Track along with side lanes, Cleanness of Sector-A.
There is no proper sanitation arrangements of Sector-A. They demanded construction of Catch water Nallah from house No. 58 Bi.e. from Babber Chowk Road/Ist Bridge to Vented causeway near house No. 172 Sec.A. Length approx. 1100 mts in Ward No. 69 Sector A, Sainik Colony Jammu besides improvements of all the three parks of Sector-A viz. repair of lights of Park No. 2 opposite house of Kamal Saini (IPS) IGP (Retd), improvement of Park No. 3 near tube well by filling good earth and installation of lights, construction of Lane and Drain back side of Sheel Devi Eye Care Hospital 6. Replacement of water supply pipe line laid in the drain flowing from Hani Singh Chowk resulting in polluted water supply to the residents.
They also demanded construction of deep drain from Park No.3 via the house of BL Saini to Sainik Colony Khud , construction of deep drain on the sides of main road to bridge No.3 of Sector A , construction of Lane and drain from House No 40-Extn to 112 Extn (back side of Dr. Kashulya Sambyal House . Further they also demanded installation of new street lights, construction of deep drain from Shiv Mandir to Sainik Colony Khud , repair of existing damaged drains and lanes.
Bhalla assured the delegation that demands put forth by them will be projected before concerned authorities for the mitigation of the same at the earliest. Addressing the delegation, Bhalla said that there is strong resentment among people of Jammu region towards BJP which has miserably failed to address even basic issues of the people of the area.He said that majority of people maintained that no new developments but only facelifts of previous works were done in the area.“BJP was in power at the Centre and in the erstwhile J&K State too, it was easy for the party to forward issues of common masses through their Government in the State to the Union Ministry concerned, for mitigating the sufferings of people but they took them casually,” Bhalla said .
Bhalla pointed out that there was total chaos and confusion among people as BJP leadership has failed to remove peoples’ apprehensions. “On the one hand, there is complete uncertainty in J&K, while on the other hand people are confronting with failure of the administration to solve day today problems”, he said, adding that most parts of the city are facing scarcity of potable water and power.
He blamed BJP for betraying the people of Jammu on the issue of statehood and misleading the people on various emotive issues. He asserted that BJP Government has betrayed people of Jammu by reducing status of a state to union territory and Govt is also not coming clear on many issues. Bhalla said that only Congress is a secular party and never believes in caste, creed and colour. He claimed that it is only Congress which can keep the whole J&K united. He said that it is most unfortunate that the common people have no medium to raise their voice for their basic necessities due to the neglect of the BJP representatives. The people have to come on roads to express their anger and seek redressal of their genuine grievances.Prominent among those present on the occasion include Sarish Sharma, Block President Jatinder Singh Chib, Block President Mandeep Singh Sonu, Block President Janak Raj besides others.
