Resolve genuine problems of Kashmiri Pandits

Jammu 27, Sept 2023::: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party Migrant Wing held a meeting at PDP Office 2-A Gandhi Nagar Jammu under the chairmanship of President Shri Sunil Bhat and State Secretary R.K.Pardesi has expressed grave concern over the genuine basic problems being faced by the Kashmiri Migrants living in exile for last more than 33 years especially the recent move made by the concerned authorities in stopping the monthly supply of flour to the migrants which is a grave injustice with the poor and helpless migrant community and the present scenario prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the meeting today Sunil Bhat said that the SRO 43 should be implemented also on PM package employees at par with other government employee in J&K. Also the recently accommodation made by the administration is single room accommodation in which the families is not satisfied with. The old policy adopted by late Janab Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s period should be implemented that is at least two room sets which was constructed at Vassu and Sheikhpura should be implemented for PM package employees. Bhat also raised the other  issues of the community like creation and advertisement of more new  one thousand posts in Central Government department in J&K (for example in Railway, LIC, Central Belt Forces etc.) Jobs for educated unemployment youth of community.

Aslo in the meeting State Secretary R.K.Pardesi has demanded enhancement of Relief assistance from meager amount of Rs. 13000/ to Rs 20000/ per month a long pending and genuine demand of kashmiri migrants, formation of concrete rehabilitation Policy for Kashmiri Pandits for Valley with time bound duration, internal repair and renovation of Quarters at Jagti, TRT Nagrota, Buta Nagar  and Purkho, subsidized loan schemes for over aged unemployed youth of the community, regular supply of pure drinking water in all migrant camps etc and appealed Lt. Governor union Territory of Jammu to address the above listed genuine problems of migrants on priority basis.

Bhat also appealed Relief Commissioner Migrant J&K to come forward and discharge the  assigned role of this in facilitating and getting resolved the problems of the kashmiri Migrants on war footing. The others who spoke in the meeting are Veer Ji Raina, Bansi Lal Koul, Satish Pajnoo, Pran Nath Pandita, S.K. Bhat, Vijay Pandita, Suraj Tak, Amit Dhar and Sanjay Kumar Jala.
