Retd ZEO Rashmi Wazir with her supporters joins BJP
Rashmi Wazir (Retired ZEO) and daughter of Daya Krishan Kotwal, former BJP State President and tall leader of Jammu & Kashmir hailing from Bhaderwah, accompanied by a large number of supporters joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), J&K BJP, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former minister & General Secretary, Anuradha Charak, Vice-President, Sanjita Dogra, President, Mahila Morcha, Baldev Singh Billawaria, former Dy. Mayor welcomed the new entrants in the party fold.
Ashok Koul, while welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, recalled the contribution of late Daya Krishan Kotwal towards the nation, society and the party. He said that living an exemplary life, Kotwal Sahib inspired everyone who came in contact with him and added that the party is sure that Rashmi would serve the nation and the party with the same zeal.
Kavinder Gupta, while welcoming Rashmi Kotwal and her supporters, appreciated them for the decision. He said that Rashmi Kotwal, during her service, served the society as a social worker also and is willing to contribute to society after her retirement.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said that the family of Daya Krishan Kotwal has gone through all the struggles in Bhaderwah along with him and the party has faith in her that her sincere efforts will further the mission of the party.
Sanjita Dogra welcomed her into the party fold and said that her presence will reinforce the BJP as well as Mahila Morcha.
Rashmi Wazir said that it was only a matter of time after her retirement that she made up her mind to officially join the BJP. She said that patriotism runs through her veins and she felt so alive after joining the party as all the earlier remembrances with her father (Day Krishan Kotwal) refreshed in her mind. She said that inspired by her father’s struggles she always remained connected to the emotions of societal service and nationalism throughout her life until now.
Mahila Morcha General Secretaries Neha Mahajan and Reema Padha managed the proceedings of the joining programme.
