Rising Star: Meet Anmolpreet, the Model Making a Positive Impact on Society
Anmolpreet has always had a passion for the stage, and it’s no surprise that he’s now one of the rising stars in the modeling industry. From a young age, he was drawn to performing on stage through dancing and music. But it wasn’t until he moved to Bangalore for his master’s degree that he began to pursue modeling professionally.
As he walked the runway, Anmolpreet realized that being on stage, with people watching him, was what truly drove him. The fashion and glamour of it all, as well as the challenge of making something even better by wearing it, was what ultimately led him to become a model. “I used to enjoy watching music videos and movies like Fashion. I would read magazines and follow the likes of Milind Soman, Mr India, and other models and thought that I could do the same. I was drawn to the idea of being in a position where I could influence and inspire others and make a positive impact on society,” he espouses.
Anmolpreet’s first photo shoot was nerve-wracking, but the photographer helped to ease his nerves by explaining that only a few of the many photos taken would be selected. Over time, his confidence grew, and he began focusing on improving his physique. “I initially felt nervous and self-conscious about my first shoot. But I eventually grew more comfortable,” he says.
Being a model can be unpredictable, as work and demand can fluctuate. The stress of unpredictability can be mitigated by keeping up with current fashion and market trends, as well as staying in touch with designers and participating in fashion shows. It requires constant adaptation and staying ahead of the curve. Anmolpreet aspires to walk in fashion weeks such as Milan, Paris and London. When it comes to designers, he would like to collaborate with iconic brands like Versace and Gucci.
But Anmolpreet’s passion for modelling isn’t just about the glitz and glamour. He is also a trained psychologist. He firmly believes that the human mind is limitless and that anyone can achieve their aspirations with dedication and guidance. Although his two careers may seem disparate, Anmolpreet proves that anyone can attain their desired goals with determination and hard work.
Despite the challenges of managing both modelling and academics, Anmolpreet has successfully balanced his studies with his passion for modelling. Even when shows would occur during late hours and exams were scheduled for the following day, his unwavering motivation enabled him to excel in both pursuits. As evidenced by his recognition as an outstanding student in college and his Mr India 2020 title, Anmolpreet’s achievements demonstrate that anything is possible with dedication and hard work. Additionally, he has represented India in the Mr World Heritage 2022 competition, further showcasing his skills and commitment to excellence.
Anmolpreet is a curious individual who always wanted to understand why people behave differently, despite having similar physical characteristics. He observed that many people judge themselves based on social media, but the reality is that people often present a curated version of themselves online. This can lead to feelings of comparison and self-judgment.
To combat this, Anmolpreet advises not to judge oneself and to take time for self-care, at least an hour each day, to focus on activities that bring joy and happiness. He believes that a healthy mind leads to a healthy body and, ultimately, creates a better world. “Making one’s passion their profession is a great way to find happiness and fulfillment. It is crucial to find a balance between one’s profession and passion, by setting priorities and making thoughtful decisions,” he says.
Anmolpreet’s journey to becoming a successful model has not been easy. He faced many obstacles and setbacks along the way, but he never gave up on his dream. “Many people tend to follow others and conform to societal expectations, but it is important to focus on what brings true happiness. When one pursues their passion, it becomes easier to also excel in their profession,” he says. Anmolpreet’s advice to others is to “Follow your dreams, follow your heart. Put your brains into the right places. Instagram or other social platforms are not how life is defined. Don’t be afraid to take risks and embrace failure, as it is the stepping stone to success.
The more the failure, the more we will learn. Failures are stairs to success. “It’s clear that Anmolpreet’s passion, drive, and determination have led him to where he is today, and there’s no doubt that he will continue to inspire and influence others as he continues to make his mark in the fashion world.
