River Chenab water level recedes; DC Ramban’s advisory remains in force

The water level in River Chenab has receded to 3387.62 cumec, providing some relief to the region that was grappling with rising water levels due to heavy rainfall.

However, as a precautionary measure, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Ramban has issued an advisory, urging residents to continue staying away from riverbanks and exercise caution.

The receding water level in River Chenab comes as a relief for the communities residing along its banks.

The decline in the water volume indicates a reduction in the threat of flooding and associated hazards that were caused by the recent heavy rains.
