Road Safety Month: Blood Donation Camp organized at DPL Sopore

SOPORE, FEBRUARY 14: In a collaborative effort aimed at fostering road safety awareness and community engagement, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Baramulla, in collaboration with the Police and Health departments, orchestrated a blood donation camp at the District Police Lines (DPL) in Sopore.

The event witnessed the participation of various dignitaries including Superintendent of Police Sopore, Divya Dev; Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Muazzam Ali; Dy SP Sopore, officers from the Health Department, police personnel, and members of the driver community.

The primary objective of the blood donation camp was to raise awareness about traffic rules, particularly among the driver community. By bringing together stakeholders from different sectors, the event aimed to underscore the importance of responsible driving practices for ensuring road safety.

During her address, SP Sopore emphasized the crucial role of the driver community in upholding traffic rules and ensuring road safety. She urged drivers to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and to exercise caution on the roads, thereby contributing to the overall safety of the community.

The Assistant Regional Transport Officer also addressed the gathering, highlighting the collective responsibility of drivers to prioritize safety and adhere to traffic rules for the well-being of the entire community.

The blood donation camp received overwhelming support and participation from the community, reflecting a shared commitment to both road safety and humanitarian causes.
