RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat arrives in Jammu for 3-day visit
JAMMU, 13 October 2013: The Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dr Mohan Bhagwat arrives at Jammu on Friday on a three-day visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Local leaders of RSS received the Sarsanghchalak at Jammu Airport on Friday evening. After landing at Jammu Airport, Dr Mohan Bhagwat straightway reaches Keshav Bhawan at Ambhpalla.
During his three-day stay at Jammu, Dr Mohan Bhagwat Ji will discuss various issues with the top leadership of J&K RSS during various meeting.
On Saturday morning, Dr Mohan Bhagwat will address meeting of RSS workers at Jammu to get first-hand information about the centenuary celebrations of the formation of the RSS in the year 2025.
Swayamsevaks from Kishtwar, Rajouri, Udhampur and Jammu Mahanagar will participate in Saturday’s meeting.
On Sunday, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will address a meeting of various oranizations of the Sangh Parivar. The Sarsanghchalak will get feedback about various projects initiated by the RSS in the Union Territory of J&K in the fields of village development, service (Sewa), public awareness, health, ecology, water conservation, social equality, education, etc.
On October 15, the Sarsanghchalak will address a gathering of Swayamsevaks at Kathua Stadium in which Swayamsevaks from Kathua, Samba, Basholi and Billawar will participate.
The Sarsangchalak will pay floral tributes at the statue of Dr Shyama Parshad Mukherjee at Kathua. Later Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will unveil statue of Bharat Mata at Jakhbar village of Kathua and interact with villagers also.
As per the tradition of the RSS, the Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryavah travel all the provinces of the country as part of organizational work and to interact with prominent persons.
Since its formation, Sarsanghchalak visit every province in connection with the organizational work. Earlier Sarsanghchalak visited Jammu in the year 2021.
Brief introduction of Sarsanghchalak Ji
Dr. Mohan Bhagwat was born on 11 September 1950 in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. He did his graduation in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry from Punjab Rao Agricultural College, Akola, Maharashtra.
He worked as Pracharak in Akola, Nagpur, and Vidarbha region, moving ahead in the organization over time. In 1991, he was given responsibility as national head of the Physical Training Programme of the Swayamsevaks and carried out this responsibility till 1999. In the same year, he was given responsibility as national level head of the publicity wing of the RSS. In 2000, he was nominated as Sarkaraywah of the organization.
In 2009, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat was nominated as the Sarsanghchalak of the RSS.
