Sadhotra urges people to reject BJP’s divisive politics and support NC-Congress alliance to form govt
Babu Rampaul urges electorate to vote wisely this time
Jammu, September 20: Ajay Sadhotra, former minister and Additional General Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), addressed an election gathering at Old Janipur, urging voters to reject the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) “fake promises.” He was the chief guest on the occasion whereas President, JKNC Central Zone (Jammu, Samba & Kathua) and former Minister, Babu Rampaul presided over.
The Public meeting was organized by Dr. Vikas Sharma, Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District and Rajinder Kumar.
Sadhotra, the JKNC candidate from the Jammu North Assembly seat, criticized the BJP for failing to deliver on key promises made over the past decade, including providing 2 crore jobs annually and relief from rising prices.
Sadhotra cautioned the electorate against falling prey to BJP’s “divisive politics” that seeks votes based on religion, stating that the people of Jammu & Kashmir have endured a difficult period under BJP rule, marked by lack of job opportunities, inflated utility bills, and misuse of power.
“If the NC-Congress coalition comes to power, we assure good governance,” Sadhotra promised, adding that the coalition would provide 200 units of free electricity, free water supply, and enhance pensions to Rs 3,000 per month for senior citizens, widows, and disabled individuals, and implement many more such welfare measures to bring succour to the poor and deprived sections of the society.
Babu Rampaul, Zonal President and former minister, also addressed the gathering, urging Congress supporters to rally behind Sadhotra as the common NC-Congress candidate. He emphasized the need for voters to make wise decisions for the future of Jammu & Kashmir.
He further said that the initiative further extended to the general public, ensuring that they were entitled to 10 kg of rice or Atta (flour) per person per month. This measure aims to provide equitable access to essential grains, ensuring that every citizen can meet their basic dietary needs.
The party has also promised to review Kerosene and Sugar Allocation. The goal is to adopt a similar approach taken by other states in India, ensuring fairness and sufficiency in the distribution of these critical household commodities.
Dr. Vikas Sharma, Zonal Secretary while speaking said that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir is being pushed towards drugs in a planned manner so that they may not demand employment and their families keep on running to save their lives. He said this administration has done nothing to control drugs and to save the young generation.
Dr Rajinder Sharma Sr. Leader NC while addressing the meeting highlighted various issues pertaining to Jammu North assembly segment and urged upon the workers to reach out to every household to spread the agenda of the party and its leadership.
