Samba Administration initiates issue of farmers regarding cultivation along border area

SAMBA, JULY 14: The District Administration Samba in collaboration with the Agriculture Department has initiated a major issue of the farmers of District Samba regarding the cultivation of land beyond the fence which has not been cultivated from the year 1999 during the financial year 2024-25.


The Chief Agriculture Officer Samba, Madan Gopal Singh said that about 500 Kanals (62.5 acres) of land has been brought under Border Cultivation comprising the area of villages Chalyari Khurd, Chalyari Kalan, Sayal, Chachwal of Rajpura Block District Samba.


The Department of Agriculture Production and FW Samba has issued 5 quintals of Mash Variety Walab 1 to the farmers whose land beyond the fence has been cultivated.


The joint initiative of District Administration in Collaboration with Agriculture Production and FW Samba have brought a ray of hope to the farmers of border areas with the cultivation of their land beyond the fence so that their income will increase.
