Samba police foil major bovine smuggling attempt; 2 arrested, 34 cattle rescued

In a decisive victory against illegal bovine smuggling, the Samba Police foiled a major attempt in Mansar on January 11, 2024. The swift action led to the arrest of two notorious smugglers, the rescue of 34 bovines, and the seizure of two trucks used in the illegal operation.

Acting on specific intelligence, Samba police laid a trap near Mansar and intercepted two trucks suspected of transporting bovines across state lines. Upon inspection, the officers discovered 34 animals crammed into the vehicles.

The arrested smugglers are now in police custody, and charges have been filed against them under relevant sections of the law.
