Sanjay Baru meets Dr Jatindra Singh, submits memorandum for Ropeway at Shivkhori Shrine
REASI, March 25: Representing the genuine demand of local inhabitants of villages adjoining Shivkhori Shrine in district Reasi, BJP Senior Leader Sanjay Kumar Baru met Union Minister in Prime Minister’s Office and Member Parliament Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency Dr.Jatinder Singh at his office North Block, New Delhi to submit a memorandum regarding shifting of Ropeway Project from approved original alignment fron Kotla to Sangar of Shivkhori Shrine Ransoo, District Reasi.
Sanjay Baru in detail apprised the Union Minister that the people of Villages Ransoo. Sagar, Kotla. Dehote, Alya. Kalha, Sanarian, Theru, Sujanpur Bamblaya, Fargal, Sanger, Kalha, Lower Kotla and adjoining villages of district Reasi and Taryath, Moghla, Narla, Bambal, Kalakote of district Rajouri are going to suffer their livelihood directly because of change of alignment and the start of Ropeway from new bus stand Ransoo instead of an earlier approved proposal from village Kotla as most of the local inhabitants are working as labourers, Pithuwalas, Ponywalas, Palkiwalas and running small shops in local market there.
Baru further said in 2011, Ropeway Project surveys after the techno-feasibility report and authentication by MD Cable Car Corporation was finalized at village Kotla to Sangar by then Divisional Commissioner Jammu Chairman SSKSB and then Deputy Commissioner Reasi and MD J&KCCC. Proper indent was placed by MD JKCCC and formal land Acquisition proceedings under Land Acquisition Act for the same was initiated by then Collector ADC Reasi in 2013. But now without consultation of local Public representatives, alignment has been changed.
Baru also appealed that Locals alongwith Sarpanchs, DDC Mambers & Chairman DDC Reasi has recently protested for five days continuously against change of alignment. And only after assurance from Deputy Commissioner Reasi extended the strike.
Dr. Jatindra Singh after listening to the genuine issue patiently immediately talked to Chief Secretary J&K UT Arun Kumar Mehta and asked him to intervene in the matter personally on the merits of public welfare and provide an appropriate solution to genuine grievances of the local public at large to avoid any such public protests at large.
Baru thanked and extended gratitude to the Union Minister for his prompt attention and action on the genuine public demands.
