SANKALP HEW Mission Shakti distributes Educational Kits among Destitute Girls at Hajin

Counseling Session for Orphan & Poor Girls also held

BANDIPORA, JULY 27: An impactful event focused on distributing educational kits and providing counseling to orphan and underprivileged girls from various schools of block Hajin was today held at the Town Hall Hajin.

The session was organised by SANKALP HEW Mission Shakti working under the supervision of Department of Social Welfare Bandipora.

The session organized under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative marked the active participation of officials from the CDPO office, District Employment and Career Counseling, and Education Department.

The District Mission Coordinator provided a detailed awareness session on various government initiatives aimed at the upliftment of poor communities. The interactive session was aimed to overcome the shyness barrier among the girl students, encouraging them for open discussion and engagement on various platforms.

Financial Literacy Specialist from Mission Shakti enlightened the participants about social security schemes, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy from a young age.

The officials from District Employment and Career Counseling centre delivered a comprehensive counseling session, offering guidance and motivation to the students, teachers, and parents. Career oriented session was crucial in preparing them for future educational and career opportunities.

Officials from the CDPO Hajin highlighted the significance of the girl child in society, reiterating the goals of the BBBP initiative. They emphasized the importance of education and empowerment for girls, particularly disadvantaged one’s and discussed various support schemes available for their welfare.

At the end of the event, educational kits were distributed among orphan and poor girls of the Hajin block, providing them with essential learning materials.

The initiative of BBBP is aimed to support the education of female students and empower them to pursue their academic and personal goals.
