Sarita Chauhan visits Panchayat Rehmbal Lower -II Block Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, March 01: Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment, Sarita Chauhan, who is the Prabhari Officer of Panchayat Rehmbal Lower- II Block Udhampur today visited the Panchayat and reviewed the progress achieved viz a viz deliverables under various self-employment and individual oriented schemes.
The Chairman Block Development Council, Balwan Singh, Sarpanch Panchayat Rehmal lower -II and other PRI members of the Panchayat were also present besides officers of line departments.
During the visit, Commissioner Secretary interacted with PRI members, general public and Officers of the line departments to take stock of follow up of the issues and grievances put up by the Gram Sabha during the “Back to Village phase -IV at Panchayat Rehmbal Lower- II
The Sarpanch informed that all the issues were being addressed with full support of the officers and the process of development has improved with such visits.
Sarita Chauhan held detailed discussions regarding self employment schemes of various line departments and the steps taken for their awareness in simplest way through sample projects to encourage starting of own enterprise by the youth of the village panchayat.
It was informed that interest has been shown by the youth in several self employment schemes and 28 people have availed benefit from the Panchayat through self employment schemes for which the loan amounts to Rs 1.27 crore.
Many women have also come forward to take loans to start own boutiques and beauty parlours besides mushroom units through their self help groups.
Commissioner Secretary suggested that the Village Panchayat hold camp for awareness of all those who have registered as job seekers besides others interested and the Panchayat assured that it will hold camps for awareness in coordination with the concerned line departments to avail the maximum benefits of different government self employment schemes and programmes.
