SBI RSETI Ramban inaugurates 30-Day Women’s Tailoring Training Program

RAMBAN, MARCH 3: SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Ramban inaugurated a new batch of its 30-day Women’s Tailoring Training Program at the RSETI campus. A total of 30 enthusiastic candidates have enrolled in the program, aiming to acquire valuable tailoring skills for self-employment and entrepreneurship.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Khursheed Ahmed Malik, Lead District Manager (LDM), Ramban, who attended as the Chief Guest. He emphasised the importance of skill development in empowering women and encouraged participants to utilize this opportunity for financial independence.


Director RSETI Ramban, S. Harvinder Singh, welcomed the participants and provided a comprehensive overview of the training program and RSETI’s mission. He highlighted how such skill-based programs align with government initiatives to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among women.


During the event, the Director elaborated on the structured 30-day curriculum, which will cover various aspects of tailoring, including cutting, stitching, designing and finishing techniques.


He also spoke about the financial and entrepreneurial support available to trainees post-completion, including linkages with government schemes like PMEGP, Mudra Yojana and NRLM, to help them establish their businesses.


The program concluded with motivational words from Senior Faculty, Amrik Singh Raju, who encouraged the trainees to stay committed to their learning journey. The event ended on an enthusiastic note with the RSETI claps, symbolising unity and encouragement for the newly enrolled trainees.
