SCERT celebrates 78th Independence Day
JAMMU, AUGUST 15: SCERT J&K today celebrated 78th Independence Day with an enthusiastic display of patriotic spirit at its Divisional Office here.
Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, SCERT J&K, and H.R. Pakhroo, Joint Director, Central move office were present on the occasion.
The event commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director of the Jammu Division.
In her address, Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor honoured the national heroes whose sacrifices secured India’s independence. She called on the faculty to reaffirm their dedication to safeguarding this precious legacy and to actively contribute to the nation’s ongoing journey towards progress.
Prof. Kapoor emphasized that the responsibility of shaping the future lies in the hands of educators, urging them to instill in the younger generation the values of freedom, unity and innovation.
The celebrations featured captivating performances by the SCERT faculty, including. Shamim Nazki, Abha Verma and Manisha Chun who all infused their acts with the spirit of patriotism and nationalism.
The event concluded on a high note, with a powerful message underscoring unity, compassion, innovation and humanity—principles that are essential in today’s world.
