SCERT J&K, NCERT New Delhi inaugurate 4 Day Capacity Building Program for Teachers at SCERT, Jammu
JAMMU, September 12: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) J&K in collaboration with NCERT New Delhi, inaugurated a 04 Day Capacity Building Programme for Teachers and Teachers Educators on Foundation, Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Mission at Foundational and Preparatory Stages on 12 September 2023, at SCERT, Jammu.
The aim and objective of the program was to train about 80 KRPs from SCERT Jammu, SCERT Kashmir along with the teachers from schools of all Districts of JKUT by seven member NCERT team headed by Prof. (Dr.) Padma Yadav from Department of Elementary Education, NCERT, New Delhi .
In the inaugural session Sh. Anil Kumar AO, Coordinator of this programme welcome all the dignitaries, Resource persons from NCERT and the Participants followed by the keynote speech of Sh. N.P Singh Associate Professor SCERT Jammu. The Joint Director SCERT Jammu, Sh. H R Pakhroo formally inaugurated the programme and in his speech highlighted the need and importance of this programme for the teacher educators and society.
Four training Sessions were taken during the day in which stress is laid upon the implementation of the foundational literacy by 2026 and importance of 5 years FLN mission along with NIPUN Bharat and initiatives for enhancing of student learning through FLN. Considering the gravity of professional development of key resources persons, the trainers from NCERT took every care for systematic inclusion of the key parameters for an objective oriented program. The last session was open for question answer and all the queries were addressed by the Resource persons and participants showed their satisfaction over the depth intellect about the content of the program.
