SCERT organizes  State Level Exhibition and Project Competition (SLEPC) under INSPIRE Award-MANAK Scheme 2021-2023

Jammu, Jan 03: State Council of Educational Research and Training, Jammu and Kashmir Divisional office Jammu organized the  State Level Exhibition And Project Competition (SLEPC) under INSPIRE Award-MANAK Scheme 2021-2023 sponsored by Department of Science and Technology Govt. of India on 3rd of January 2023 at Govt Girls Higher secondary School Shastri Nagar Jammu under the overall guidance and supervision H.R Pakhroo Joint Director JKSCERT, Jammu

The Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr.Ravi Shankar Sharma (JKAS) Director School Education, Jammu and Sh. Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan, JKAS, Director Finance, School Education Department Civil Secretariat, Jammu (J&K) and the exhibition was declared open with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.  Other dignitaries from School Education department  including DIET Principals and CEO’s were also present.

While inaugurating the SLEPC, Dr.Ravi Shankar(KAS) Director School Education, Jammu motivated the students to think out of the box and create wonders.Sh. Ifthikhar Hussain Director Finance, School Education Department who is also the UT level Nodal officer of the INSPIRE Award MANAK Scheme (J&K) applauded the participants for their innovative ideas and stressed the need of more participation by the students in such kind of activities .

Sh H.R Pakhroo in his welcome address motivated participants to think critically like the eminent scientists and develop higher order thinking skills. He also presented momentos to the dignitaries as a token of honour. The exhibition displayed  42 innovative science models prepared by students of both government and private schools of Jammu province.

An independent jury were drawn from the field of Sciences including Dr.Sanjeev Arya Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, University of Jammu, Dr.Balgar Singh,Sh.Puneet Thukral,Sh.Rohit Sharma, Sr.Academic officers JKSCERT,Jammu, Sh Parvaiz Ahmed Mir,Sh. Shabir Ahmad Kutay and Mtr.Irteza Fayaz from NIF,DST,New Delhi.  They selected best exhibits in a very intellectual and professional way of selection for National Level Exhibition and Project Competition, to be held at New Delhi. 

The prizes were distributed to National Level Exhibits by the Joint Director JKSCERT, Jammu Sh. H.R Pakhroo in the presence of august gathering. The  Six top winners included Preeti Devi (Reasi district), Akarsh Singh Bhau(Doda district)Jatin Sharma (Kathua Distt), Monica Devi (Jammu district),Arun Sambyal (Kathua district),Angad Kumar (Jammu district)

Two students named Chahat Sharma and Rammi Sharma from GHS Parangol Kathua along with their escort teacher Munish Narayan were also awarded certificates for their participation in Rashtriya Bal Vaighyanik Pradarshini- 2022 held at Guwahati,Assam .

The programme was moderated by Mr Deepak Sharma senior Academic officer JKSCERT, Jammu. Ashu Magotra, Nodal Officer INSPIRE- SCERT J&K Jammu welcomed and thanked the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time and adding glory to the event. A vote of thanks was presented by her thanking Principal GGHSS Shastri Nagar Jammu for all the logistic support  and the team of SCERT, Jammu for their whole hearted cooperation to make the event successful.
